**What the role is**
- You study the strategic communications environment, online information trends and developments, and their implications for MINDEF/SAF and Singapore.

**What you will be working on**
- Coordinate projects to enhance MINDEF/SAF's strategic communications efforts - Develop content for MINDEF/SAF's social media platforms - Safeguard the reputation and credibility of MINDEF/SAF and Singapore - Defend the domestic information space - Further MINDEF/SAF or Singapore's interests - Test and validate MINDEF/SAF's media-sensing capabilities - Assess effectiveness of information strategies - Develop tailored strategies and communications efforts Challenge(s) - Grasping ongoing developments in the media environment - Formulating effective communication plans - Swiftly understanding how real-world issues impact MINDEF/SAF in a fast-paced information environment - Maintaining composure and adapting to changes in the short-cycle information environment

- The mission of MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces is to enhance Singapore's peace and security through deterrence and diplomacy, and should these fail, to secure a swift and decisive victory over the aggressor. The Defence Executive Officer (DXO) scheme is the non-uniformed career scheme of MINDEF that offers myriad opportunities in various job functions, such as corporate communications, cyber security, data analytics and visualisation, defence policy, finance, HR, psychology, and more.
