Singapore EVOQUA WATER TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. Full time

Manages the flow of materials, equipment, goods, supplies, etc., from suppliers. Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing most complex materials. Leads contract negotiations for goods, services, suppliers, equipment related to materials, transportation and storage; monitors contractual obligations for compliance. Evaluates vendor performance. Manages aspects of the materials planning function and inventory to ensure that organizational goals are met.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**

Materials Manager Primary Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Leads the Procurement, Planning, Warehouse and Logistics teams in the execution of processes and plans to meet safety, quality, supplier & customer delivery, and cost objectives
- Ability to identify and drive improvement opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements
- Ability to manage internal/external relationships across multiple organizations and connect at all levels.
- Demonstrated negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong communicator, comfortable outside own discipline; able to interact seamlessly across supply chain, engineering and business units, etc.
- Minimum of 8 years materials management/planning background including 5+ years in a Material’s Manager role of a discreet/engineer-to-order manufacturer.
- Heavy metal fabrication manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement background strongly desired.
- MS Office and core proficiency in SAP ERP system (planning/warehousing/logistics) required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, highly desirable.
- Flexible, innovative and proactive individual.
- CPIM certification preferred

**Education**:
BS/BA degree in Materials Management, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typically manages multiple levels of employees and/or supervisors.

**Key Working Relationships**:
Frequent inter-organizational and external contacts.
