Manager (Scholarship Management)

You are responsible for overseeing talents on top-tier MINDEF/SAF undergraduate sponsorships, including the SAF Scholarship (SAFS), SAF Merit Scholarship (SMS), SAF Engineering Scholarship (SES), and Defence Merit Scholarship (DMS). On this, you assess academic requests, arrange vacation attachments/internships, and organise engagement events with senior management. You also support senior officers in postgraduate studies or short courses, such as the Advanced Management Programme, SAF Postgraduate Award, MINDEF Postgraduate Award, and Programme for Management Development. Your challenges lie in aligning scholarship terms with the Public Service Commission while maintaining internal parity, adapting policies to evolving educational landscapes, and developing strategies for meaningful talent engagement through management sessions and coordinated internships.
You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably with relevant experience in Human Resources. You should be proactive, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate strong planning and organisational abilities, and be comfortable working under tight timelines. Good interpersonal skills and a passion for engaging with youths are essential. You may be required to work odd hours and/or on weekends. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
