**Description**
**Job Summary**
The Pastry Chef/ Senior Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, baking and decorating pastries, cakes and other dough. This includes the process from planning the products, weighing and measuring ingredients making various baked items, and finally glazing or decorating them.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Prepare, bake and present pastry effectively and efficiently.
- Prepare a wide variety of products such as whole cakes and cookies.
- Prepare food according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Decorate pastries using different icings and toppings.
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients and make appropriate orders.
- Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance of work area.
- Ensure that procedures for suppliers; products receiving, equipment are complying to the established standards.
- Ensure high level of food hygiene and safety standards are maintained.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times.
