**GRAPHIC WEB DESIGNER JOB DESCRIPTION**:
We are looking for a Graphic web designer who will be responsible for creating great websites for our clients. Primary duties include conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas for client websites, as well as creating visual elements that are in line with our clients' branding. You will be working closely with our web development team to ensure proper and hassle-free implementation.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent visual design skills and be proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients.
- Testing and improving the design of the website.
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
- Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
- Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
- Working with different content management systems.
- Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
- Incorporating functionalities and features into websites.
- Designing sample pages including colours and fonts.
- Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
- Developing and modifying tutorial videos using web resources.
- Designing web pages using HTML and JavaScript technologies.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver etc.
- Draw up detailed website specifications.
- Design sample page layouts including text size and colours.
- Design graphics, animations and manipulate digital photographs.
- Register web domain names and organise the hosting of the website.
- Present initial design ideas to clients.
- Carry out coding using a variety of software.
- Work with different content management systems.
- Search engine optimisation (SEO).
- Meet relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy.
- Design the website's visual imagery and ensure it's in line with company branding policy or the requirements of the client.
- Proofread content and make changes where necessary.
- Edit content, debug code and re-design web pages.
- Work with other web specialists, including web developers and graphic designers
- Liaise with outside agencies.
- Test the website to ensure it's working.
- Hand the completed website over to the client.
- Provide post-sales technical support.
- Train the clients' staff.
- Research current design trends.
- Undertake continuing professional development (CPD) activities to keep up to date with new software developments.
- Designing engaging and responsive landing pages.
- Integrating client CMS programs and data feeds into websites.
- Optimising sites for maximum speed and scalability.
- Employing industry and design best practice through website build process.
- Conducting website testing.
- Liaising with back-end developers to ensure web and app logic is properly integrated.
- Ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet.
- Working with marketing and research teams to incorporate brand elements and relevant market research findings into website.
- Providing internal support and external customer service throughout the build and launch process of the website.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
- Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of content management systems.
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
- Creative and open to new ideas.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven work experience as a Web Designer.
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies.
