To represent Edwards Lifesciences as a leading manufacturer, and as an innovator in the development of cutting edge technologies, to the Government of Singapore, as well as other governments of Southeast Asia. This role will also provide internal and external communications leadership, enhancing employee engagement, and extending Edward's reputation throughout the region. In this Singapore-based role, this position will ensure the company's operational, policy and communications priorities are pursued with appropriate key bodies/stakeholders, with an emphasis primarily in Singapore, but also with other priority countries in Southeast Asia, as it relates to manufacturing and supply chain operations. To ensure alignment with Edwards' strategic imperatives and mission, this role will partner with your fellow Public Affairs team members to collaborate with internal functions and business units to execute our strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Track and analyze government issues in Singapore, as well as other Southeast Asia countries, identifying challenges and opportunities for Edwards manufacturing operations and its mission to provide patients with access to therapies.
- Contribute to the development of the advocacy strategy and lead in the implementation of the strategy with key government officials in support of Edwards’ manufacturing goals in Singapore and all of Edwards’ key priority countries in Southeast Asia in support of manufacturing operations.
- Establish a role as a strategic counselor with the company’s businesses, regions and functions to assess communications needs, develop and execute appropriate solutions including high-quality written, video and audio collateral. Serve as a responsive, quality-focused trusted partner for communications needs throughout the company.
- Represent Edwards in negotiations with key government leaders in Singapore and Southeast Asia, as necessary.
- Generate internal feedback and executive support for government affairs and communications/branding strategies to address issues of high priority and maintaining high levels of communication with U.S. based public affairs team, Irvine based executives, and with issue experts as necessary, globally.
- Work with designated trade and business associations on political, legislative, regulatory and communications issues of importance to the company in Singapore and other countries of Southeast Asia in support of manufacturing.
- Work with U.S. embassies/consulates in each region to develop relationships and opportunities in support of Edwards’ manufacturing mission in Southeast Asia.

**Education and Experience**:
Bachelor's Degree 12 Years years experience minimum of related experience Required and
5 Years years experience minimum of experience and background with Singapore government, Southeast Asia political environment, and advocacy Required

**Other**: in graduate degree, 5 Years years experience of experience in a communications/branding role Preferred

**Additional Skills**:

- Strong English speaking ability required and the ability to speak any of the following; Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Punjabi and Gujarati, Chinese or other Southeast Asia languages preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the political processes of Singapore government is required; an understanding of broader international government affairs preferred
- Specific experience in medical device industry issues as they relate to operations and manufacturing in Singapore preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and other third-parties to elevate Edwards profile among key policymakers and influencers required
- Strong project planning and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have a demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines, flexibility and adaptability to last-minute changing requirements required.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong executive presence is required as this position interacts with highest level of executives and government officials
