Audio Visual Technician

**NLCS (Singapore) **is looking for an enthusiastic, highly dependable and committed **Audio Visual (AV) Technician **, with an outstanding track record. The primary function of the Audio Visual Technician is to provide technical and practical support to the AV provision across the whole school as directed by the Theatre Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To contribute to the smooth running and high-quality provision of a wide range of school activities and events, by providing technical advice and operational support for the audio-visual (AV) requirements.
- Perform administration and coordination duties and assist in event production and technical management as directed by the Theatre Manager.
- To contribute to the repair and maintenance of AV equipment, whilst keeping an up-to-date inventory for auditing purposes.
- To attend a wide range of activities and events including meetings and presentations, examinations, assemblies, ceremonies, fairs, charity events, music and dance/drama productions, amongst others, as directed by the Theatre Manager.
- Maintain inventory of equipment.
- Ensure AV equipment is safely loaded & transported to events when supporting on and offsite events.
- Will be responsible for installation, repair and maintenance support in areas of responsibility.
- Liaising with school organizer/ event owner pertaining to pre and post events matters.
- Carry out AV related tasking from our ICT department ticketing system as directed by our Theatre Manager.

**Event & Technical Support**:

- Provide AV support for school events and productions, on campus and offsite.
- Promptly carryout requests, received through the IT support ticketing system, that pertain to AV related tasks across the school, as directed by the Theatre Manager
- Promptly deal with job related enquires and requests e.g. from (event organisers, participants, students and staff) during technical planning and coordination of an event/s.
- Operate powered access lifts and working at height with competence and necessary qualification and training. Certified by MOM under SSG
- Effectively operate the AV and sound set up and mixing control equipment in the designated venues and the auditorium when required.
- Routine check of equipment at DIY locations, troubleshoot technical issues, and carry out repair, maintenance and upgrading works to ensure that all equipment are in good working condition.
- Conduct training of staff and students on the safe and effective use of our AV equipment (both fixed and portable) where necessary.
- Deploy and retract the seating system in the auditorium as directed by the Theatre Manager.
- Ensure users adhere to professional code of conduct in the environment and prioritize the Risk Management factor standards for safe to work in our area of work responsibility.

**Communication**:

- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with staff and students.
- Liaise with members of the Maintenance, Operations, Music, Drama and other relevant departments to ensure smooth coordination of tasks for particular events.
- Maintain active communication with event organisers and relevant service providers for the co-ordination of technical services to support events and productions.
- Support the primary role of other technicians within the Theatre and events teams when there is a shortage of manpower.
- Upgrade and update all acquired skills and take necessary courses essential for the job as directed by the Theatre Manager
- Liaise directly with staff where you are undertaking AV tasks assigned by the IT support ticketing system
