As the Electrical sub team leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and management of the all Science and Technology projects. You will be responsible for articulating a vision for the our data center and mission critical projects and coordinating and focusing resources in order to meet the needs of the client and deliver profitable results for Arup. The role will be part of the senior management team that collectively leads the Singapore Electrical team.

**The Opportunity**
- Lead the development, implementation and management of the overall strategy and business plans for the MEP team including opportunities to drive growth and profit.
- Lead the development of project plans and drive implementation which ensures delivery is managed effectively (commercially, technically, financially) and minimizes risk to both Arup and the client.
- Establish and implement a strategic approach to client engagement and business development. Develop and maintain good relationships with industry networks, clients, architects, government agencies, JV partners, sub-consultants and construction contractors relevant to the MEP Team’s activities.
- Responsible for leading teams for the development, design and management of large, complex, long term projects either as lead designer or Technical/Project Director. This will involve coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, people, facilities, resources etc., within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints.
- Build a plan to achieve operating and financial plan targets and develop the group to enable a consistent and agreed profit margin and cash flow.
- Look to continually enhance our technical edge and our innovation in all the projects we deliver including driving a sustainability focus into our work.

**Is this role right for you?**
- Minimum of 20 years’ experience in the successful leadership and management of diverse teams for the design & construction of international airport projects OR projects of similar scale and complexity.
- You will be a Electrical Professional Engineer (P.E) licensed by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore OR Chartered/Registered engineer of a recognized engineer international institution equivalent to PEB in Singapore.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in engineering consultancy and design including experience in advising clients on innovative, cost-effective, sustainable solutions.
- Experience in bidding for large scale projects, pitching to clients and strong contract negotiation skills.
- A broad knowledge of building services design issues (including ESD, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Hydraulics), to be able to lead a team working in these fields.
