Project title: database analysis, data preparation & correction tool for automotive development process The student, under the guidance of an assigned mentor (automotive package concept team), will be responsible for software development focusing on preparation & cleaning of data critical for machine learning, identification of data errors from multiple sources, exploration of automated correction

**The objective of the project is to**:

- **Understand **the **existing automotive development process**:

- **Extract development **and **production data **from **internal database**:

- Define relevant and focus data sets
- **Identify data inconsistencies **in a **structured manner**:

- **Report inconsistencies **to the **respective database owners **and **suggest corrections**:

- **Implementation using AI algorithms **shall be proposed for increased efficiency & to enable generalisation
- Demonstrate effectiveness of solution with pilot use case

**Key processing steps are expected to be**:

- Remove **unwanted observations**:

- Provide **missing data handling**:

- Solve structural errors
- **Manage outliers**

**No pre-knowledge is required **on the existing automotive development process.

**Technical learning outcomes**:

- **Demonstrate the ability to **understand project requirement, automotive system, IC development process **, and manage project in timeline manner to achievable project target**:

- **Demonstrate the ability to **define a framework concept **and **demonstrate data analytic **and **data visualization capability **for **automotive development process.**:
**Non-technical**:

- **Understanding of **automotive semiconductor R&D processes**:

- **Exposure to industry practices and processes**:

- **Additional sharing will be done by manager (soft skills, etc.)**

**You are best equipped for this task if you have**:

- **Strong software engineering competency **with **special interest **and **knowledge in big data analytics & machine learning.**:

- **Prior experience **in **decision making software development **is wished.
- Fluent in **Microsoft Excel **and **Python.**:

- Familiarity with tools such **Pandas, Python, Tensor flow **and PyTorch is an advantage.
- Team player, curious and thinking out of the box.
- Language: English required for communication.
