Vp of Engineering

We’re looking for a **VP of Engineering** to join our **Engineering** team, to grow, inspire and manage the engineering team in order to drive the Engineering roadmap.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Coordinate the engineering roadmap with the product team, providing accurate resource and timeline estimations, and managing that timeline
Ensure execution by breaking big problems down and imposing order on ambiguity, introduce metrics to measure productivity and effectiveness, and own processes that drive them
- Effectively engage and retain the engineering team

**Who We Are Looking For**:

- **People Management - **Effective at recruiting A players, grooming leaders and removing wrong hires. Has high standards and raises the team to that level. Sets priorities effectively. Has experience managing 20-40 engineers
- **
Led product engineering at startups - **Set technical roadmaps to support product roadmap; invested in technical infrastructure that was suited to the stage of the startup; attuned to the tradeoffs required at the different stages
- **
Scaled and managed teams of 50-60 engineers - **Played a crucial role in recruiting and attracting engineers, on top of existing employer brand; managed, groomed, and retained engineers as a manager of managers; good grasp of the engineering functions to build at different stages of maturity
