**Role description**:
This role will provide sustainability services for a broad range for public and private sector clients. This is a diverse role with many potential opportunities to technically support clients on their sustainability journey. The role will support growth and delivery of the Business Advisory Services.

**Role accountabilities**:

- Support our clients' on Net Zero (NZ) roadmaps, carbon management and GHG reporting.
- Use of carbon calculation accounting and life cycle assessment tools such as OneClick LCA.
- Understanding of Life Cycle Carbon Analysis, circular economy principles and engineering approaches to carbon reduction solutions.
- Undertake corporate and organisational carbon accounting including development of organisational carbon footprints for corporate sustainability reporting such as CDP, Science Based Targets, GRESB and experience with scope 3 emission calculations and reporting including benchmarking.
- Lead or support energy and sustainability programs and projects for our clients.
- Undertaking Green Building / sustainability gap analysis, energy modelling and identification of opportunities for improvement.
- Provide sound and reasoned technical and professional advice to clients or internal stakeholders relating to the M&E surveying scope of services including conducting condition survey, site inspection and monitoring works progress.
- Lead or support business development including the development of business cases, define scopes, plan, and delivery of projects including client presentations and preparation of bids.
- Support with building relationships with stakeholders in the Arcadis business to develop understanding of the Sustainability Advisory capability
- Assisting with the development of sustainability thought leadership within Arcadis, our external profile and also with clients.
- Assisting with mentoring others to support the growth of the Sustainability Advisory Service area.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Essential:

- Bachelor’s degree in facilities / engineering / technical field.
- Strong understanding and commercial matters associated with E&M systems
- Over 5 years professional experience in engineering / environmental / sustainability services
- Strong interest for energy management / sustainability
- Strong consulting skills including project management and client relationship management at senior management level
- Fluent in English
- Good communicator and writing skills
- Confident with Microsoft Words, PowerPoint, Excel and dashboards such as Power BI.
- Strong numerical and quantitate skills
- Organized, self-driven, positive attitude
- Readiness to take on new tasks to support the needs of the client or project management team

Desirable:

- Certified Energy Manager / Green Building Professional designation (GMAAP, LEED AP, WELL AP, etc.)
- Good knowledge and experience of energy management services
- Chartership or Working towards Chartership.
