**Our Products**

We manufacture and market 3 products from our operations
- Insect protein for the sustainable production of aquaculture for food
- Insect oil that we use in animal feed for healthy and sustainable breeding
- Insect excrement which is used as an organic soil amendment.

**The Role**

The primary role of the Entomologist is to carry out research projects with the purpose of modeling and improving the bioconversion of the substrate for the Hermetia Illucens larvae (Black Soldier Fly)

**_This will involve the following activities: _**
- Manage a set of R&D projects aimed at bringing efficiency gains in terms of bioconversion, for example via approaches to supplementation or preconditioning of feed;
- Identify and implement modeling strategies for the link between inputs, zootechnical conditions and bioconversion performance;
- Participate in the development and industrial deployment of new operational practices and new nutritional criteria for improving bioconversion performance;
**_You will also be responsible for the following: _**
- Scoping new R&D projects with the purpose of industrial commercialization
- Improve and establish new operational processes and provide training support for technicians and engineers
- Planning / implementing zootechnical trials, rigorous analysis of results and clear reporting of findings;
- Monitoring of academic and competitive activity within the industry
- Participate in the intellectual protection of the technical solutions developed
- Explore partnerships with industrial or academic collaborators
- Degree holder ideally in a relevant field of study (i.e. nutrition, food formulation, microbiology or enzymology, entomology)
- Have prior experience participating or leading R&D projects
- Resourceful and self-driven with a strong sense of ownership
- Can-do attitude - we are a lean team; we are looking for folks that are willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
- Motivated to work on purposeful projects with a strong interest in sustainability
- Able to organize and work autonomously in a multidisciplinary environment, prioritize and make decisions to achieve results
- Pragmatic, practical and efficient, able to solve complex problems in a simple way
