Data Visualization Specialist

**About the role**:
We are looking for an exceptional Data Visualization Specialist who is excited about redefining how the worlds’ largest cargo airlines, shipping lines, forwarders and shippers run global operations. Our product is live and used by many shippers, manufacturers and forwarders to make decisions that save millions and improve their customer service.

You will be joining the Data Science Team to visualize and navigate data that includes millions of geospatial records, structured and unstructured supply chain data. You will own the internal & external dashboards, interactive visualizations and architect analytical platform. You will work in a fast paced and dynamic startup environment and will join a tightly knit team solving hard problems the right way.

**What you will do**:

- Design, develop and maintain high-quality interactive data visualizations, custom live dashboards, and analytical solutions using complex datasets from different sources - adhering to best practices, governance and design principles.
- Be a bridge between the business and tech, enabling insights that can empower better decision-making. Partner with Marketing to understand their goals and how data can support them.
- Provide and implement best practices required to deliver effective and sustainable data visualization and analytic solutions to our cross-functional teams.
- Develop charts and reports in response to ad hoc information and analytics requests.
- Transform data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals.
- Establish data visualization standards across teams and explore new, cutting-edge tools to periodically raise those standards.

**Requirements**:
**Your skills & experience**:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Design, Software, Engineering or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of hands-on data visualization, UI or similar experience and 2+ years of experience in dashboard design. Convince us by showing some of your fantastic work :)
- Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in data visualization libraries across different languages such as Plotly, Highcharts, Charts.js, D3.js.
- Familiarity with Python and SQL.
- Experience with geospatial data and graph data is a huge plus.
- Experience in delivering projects, including developing and architecting Analytics solutions for large enterprise use cases, inclusive of but not limited to transitional BI tools.
- Knowledge of relational database and geo data structures, theories, and practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical partners.
