**About Lumen**

**The Role**:
The Operations engineer is part of Lumen’s Adaptive Support team who provide dedicated support across Network and Compute to a subset of Lumen’s premium customers. As an Operations Engineer, you are responsible for providing tier 2-2.5 technical support for Lumen’s Adaptive customer compute solutions. You will be responsible for monitoring our customers environments, resolving Incidents, responding to customer requests, as well as planning, reviewing, and executing change activities in an ITIL controlled environment.

Working Pattern: (Tue-Sat / Sun-Thu or Sat-Wed) 40 Hour working week between hours of 7am
- 7pm.

**The Main Responsibilities**:
**Minimum Qualifications**
- 2+ years’ experience supporting Windows/Vmware/Linux and operating in a 24/7 environment.
- Able to Provide 2nd level systems support.
- Basic Knowledge & troubleshooting skills on Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019 Server.
- Basic Knowledge & troubleshooting some skills on VMware technologies; High-Availability, VMware Vmotion, DRS, ESX and vCenter.
- OR Basic Knowledge & Troubleshooting skills on RHEL/Linux Operating Systems.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of networking protocols.
- Able to demonstrate a basic understanding of key Topics:

- Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory, DNS, Failover Clustering, DHCP, Domain Controllers, High availability, DRS, ESX Vmotion,
- Confident and Professional dealing directly with customers.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- VMware/vSphere 6.x
- RHEL/ Linux 6.x/7.x
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2 / 2016 / 2019#
- ITIL v4
