The Design Department aims to develop and deliver learning programmes that equip learners with design skills that will empower them to create unique solutions to a broad spectrum of social and business challenges. We are looking for a forward-thinking course manager who will drive the transformation of the design curriculum to meet the needs of design-related services and industries.

About the Role

The Course Manager will report to the Deputy Principal and play a lead role in setting the strategic goals of the department, supporting a team of adjunct lecturers in achieving those goals and delivering positive student and graduate outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Oversee the strategic direction and performance of the Design Department;
- Develop industry-driven courses that equip students for a broad spectrum of design-related roles;
- Continually engage with industry stakeholders and professional bodies to ensure relevance and alignment to emerging trends and future needs;
- Monitor and evaluate curriculum design, delivery and assessment for academic quality assurance;
- Implement innovative learning methods and make effective use of educational technology;
- Facilitate learning for students, including lecturing, project supervision, mentoring of students, and providing career guidance;
- Monitor the performance and guide the professional development of academic staff
- Review, formulate and implement processes and initiatives for continual improvement

**Requirements**:

- At least a Bachelor's degree in Communication Design, Experience Design, UI/UX Design or other related fields
- At least 3 years of working experience in related fields
- Passionate about delivering innovative and engaging learning experiences
- Enjoy working in a small and dynamic team to support organisational goals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with creative approaches to challenges

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $4,200.00 per month

- Local Polytechnic Diploma (required)
