**About our group**:
Seagate Research Group (SRG) conducts research to transform Seagate’s technical expertise, innovation, and manufacturing excellence into innovative technologies for the rapidly growing datasphere.

**About the role - you will**:

- Support the implementation of machine learning algorithms on one or more of the following Project(s)/Product(s)
- Optimize data flow throughput for storage solutions
- Solutions for AI at the edge
- Support AI-workload profiling and analysis

**About you**:

- Self-motivated and independent learner
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Resourceful and savvy professional that is committed to finding solutions and making an impact

**Your experience includes**:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or other related fields
- Proficiency in Python, Tensor Flow, Pytorch, R, and one other lower-level programming language (C/C++ or Java)
- Exposure to some Mathematical environment (linear algebra, statistics, optimization, calculus)
- Understanding of Machine Learning/Deep Learning and existing frameworks such as Tensorflow and/or PyTorch
- Experience in one or more of the following:

- Machine Learning for video analytics and NLP
