Assistant Broadcast Operation Engineer Overview of Position: What you will do: - Managing day-to-day media preparation services by ensuring media files, subtitle files, audio file and satellite recording are delivered to the respective Play out system and external parties promptly. - Performing Live automation playout operations by coordinating with Studios on delivery of all live events - Updating and realigning ON-AIR playlist after every Live event - Carrying out satellite recording, clip trimming and updating automation database - Responding and updating client on all technical issues that may arises - Tracking and following closely on all missing transmission assets/schedule/satellite parameters - Engaging with internal team, client and external parties ( dubbing / subtitling house) by establishing processes for media assets to be delivered in a timely manner - Performing audio/video QC check on all incoming and re-process video files/live feeds - Appending and realigning daily automation playlist - Supporting new service conception, product development, setting up the associated processes to ensure a successful product & service launch as well as supporting all post launch activities What we need from you: - Diploma in electrical and Electronic Engineering / Mass Communication or similar qualification. - Min 2yrs experience working in Sports/Broadcast environment is an added advantage - Able to work under pressure and against time - Keen interest in new technological developments - Self-motivated and responsible with lots of initiative - Adaptable and able to make on the spot decision during Live feed Playout situation. - Strong planning and organizational skills - Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and resolve problems. - Perform 8hrs or 12hrs rotating shift to provide 24/7 playout (including weekends & Public Holiday) Working at Speedcast: At Speedcast, we want people that like adventure.
