**Position Overview**:
A Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for protecting an organization's computer systems and networks from various cyber threats. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, responding to security breaches, and continuously improving the organization's cyber defense strategies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Implement Security Measures**:Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect digital assets.
- **Monitor Systems**:Continuously monitor network traffic and system activity to detect and respond to security incidents.
- **Incident Response**:Respond to and mitigate security breaches, including analyzing the cause, implementing corrective actions, and preparing reports.
- **Risk Assessment**:Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
- **Security Audits**:Perform security audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to security policies and regulations.
- **Stay Updated**:Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- **Educate Employees**:Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs to employees.
- **Collaborate**:Work closely with IT teams, management, and other stakeholders to integrate security practices into the organization’s operations.

**Requirements**:

- **Educational Background**:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
- **Experience**:Proven experience in a cybersecurity role, with a deep understanding of various security practices and technologies.
- **Technical Skills**:Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software).
Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and databases.
Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Familiarity with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
- **Analytical Skills**:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address security issues effectively.
- **Communication Skills**:Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document security incidents and explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- **Attention to Detail**:High level of attention to detail to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- **Certifications**:Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
