Business Analyst

**Responsibilities**:

- Engages users to understand the business processes and requirements, information technology requirements, procedures or problems according to business needs. He/she acts as a liaison between users and technical staff to address questions and issues. He/She possesses an analytical mind, and is able to see interconnections with system solutions and usability
- Liaise with stakeholders to identify business needs
- Document needs and objectives, current operational procedures, issues
- Develop detailed functional requirement documents
- Prioritise requests from multiple sources
- Propose prioritisation of user requests
- Support the development of business cases defining potential benefits, solutions to increase efficiencies of business processes and associated risks
- Work with Solution Architect to identify feasible solution to the functional requirements
- Align solutions with the needs of the users
- Develop documentation and guides for the use of new or enhanced systems
- Function as the liaison between users and technical staff throughout the solution
- Liaise with QA team to develop test plans and test cases
- Prepare test data to satisfy user acceptance test scenarios
- Document test evidence of expected results or defects
- Follow up to clear test defects and secure user acceptance sign-offs
- Support planning of project timelines and resources needed

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Information Systems/ Technology or equivalent
- Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Has good understanding of UML and Scrum methodology
- Team player with strong oragnisation and people handling skills
- Ability to draw diagrams (e.g. Use Cases, Work flows) using non-standard tools (e.g. MS PowerPoint)
- Has positive attitude toward working, learning new knowledge and willing to take up ad hoc tasks assigned by the team
