Assigned Control and Instrumentation Engineer

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Review tender and project specifications and highlight technical queries/clarification /deviation to client
- Independently handle kinds of Field Instrumentation and Instrumentation related construction items. Handling includes complete cycle from preparation of specifications, RFQ documents, TBE to finalizing vendor documents/drawing and support to execution at site.
- Must have independently handled Package items like Boiler, Gas and Steam Generator Turbine (GTG & STG), Process Compressor, Water Handling and Treatment Packages etc. Preparation of Scope Matrix for the various packages in the project.
- As Life cycle activities executed for Project document controls, Preparation of database (Instrumentation software database, standard interface for data exchange to external systems), Verification of process control; valve sizing, data protections and equipment interactions.
- Validating start-up, steady state and shutdown/abnormal operating procedures
- Straight length verification for all flow elements and flowmeters and co-ordination with piping team to maintain required upstream and downstream requirement.
- Independently handled construction activities for Instrumentation such as preparation of Pressure piping Hook-ups for process and utility, Pneumatic Hook-ups diagram, Cable Bock diagram, Connection Diagram, review of F&G layout, Preparation of MTO & RFQ for construction related items, vendor print etc.
- Good Knowledge in Specialized Engineering Softwares like Intergraph Smartplant Instrumentation (INTOOLS 8), Smartplant Review(3D), Newisworks(3D review) etc.
- Experience in conducting FAT / Inspection / witnessing at Suppliers / Vendors Factory for acceptance of Critical Instruments like Control Valves, On-Off valves, Switching Valves, Safety Valves, Flow instruments, temperature instruments, Level gauges, and Analyzers as per applicable code and standards (ASME, API, TEMA, NACE, ISO codes).
- Preparation of Design Basis and Bid documents for the Instrumentation design. Co-ordination with vendor and owner for getting approval of technical documents required for floating tender in market. Reviewing the techno-commercial offer and preparation of cost sheet.
- Preparation of Index and IO list document
- Worked on different types of projects such as LSTK, EPCM, PMC etc.
- Provide support to proposal and sales team for all the bidding projects.
- Independently handle inter-discipline engineering activities, interface and co-ordination.

**JOB REQUIREMENT**
- Post-graduation in Instrumentation Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in the design/execution of Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery onshore and Offshore Projects on FPSO or fixed platforms.
- Have proven reference in handling various Instrumentation activities such as preparation of engineering documents, specifications, datasheet, RFQ, evaluate vendor’s quotations (TBE), review and approve vendors documentation and drawings for different Field instruments and instrumentation related construction items in accordance with project requirement and applicable codes and standards.
- Experience in Specialized Engineering Softwares like Intergraph Smartplant Instrumentation (INTOOLS 8), Newisworks (3D review) and Aveva Instrumentation.
- Ensure & maintain required straight lengths at downstream and upstream of flow elements by co-ordination with respective inter-discipline.
- Preparation of Instrumentation construction documents like Pressure piping Hook-ups for process & utility, Pneumatic Hook-ups diagram, preparation of cable bock diagram, connection diagram, review of F&G layout, preparation of MTO & RFQ for construction related items.
- Having proven reference in handling Package engineering (Static packages/Rotary packages) related to Instrumentation works.
- Have competitive engineering knowledge’s of Instrumentation Design as shown above in FPSO or fixed platform.
- Manage and coordinate the Instrumentation discipline activities for the project execution (including the EPC contractor studies and documents) to ensure a safe and optimized design in line with the project requirements.
- Ensure that in the Instrumentation discipline the contract requirements (including scope, specifications, schedule and costs) are respected by the Instrument contractors / vendors.
- Experienced in conducting FAT and Inspections for Integrated control and safety system, various packages control system (like ITCC), Field Instruments like Control Valves, Switching Valves, Riser Manifold shutdown Valves, Safety valves, flow elements, temperature instruments etc.
- Willing to travel to go to module fabrication yards, vendor works for meeting/coordination, client meetings, etc.
- Provide assistance to module construction team during module fabrication, installation/mechanical completion/commissioning
- Familiar and aware of collaboration between inter-discipline engineering activities.
