**_Department Description _**
The Natural Resources & Infrastructure Financing Group provides a full range of finance and advisory services for producers, traders, processors and end-users of energy, metals and soft commodities as well as public sector through four key platforms: Energy group, Metals & Mining finance group, Traders, Commodity finance & Agribusiness group and Infrastructure finance.
GLBA/NAT/NRG is in charge of financing and advisory services for energy projects worldwide as well as structured financings, pre-export financing and reserve-based lending for energy players.
EPG “Energy + Group”, a sub business line of GLBA/NAT/NRG that covers Power (Thermal, Renewable, Nuclear and related infrastructure), Oil & Gas (e.g. RBF, LNG, Petrochemical, Pipelines and Refining) and new energy transition technologies such as hydrogen, batteries storage, CCS, DAC, clean fuels and other new areas in the energy sector. One of the key selling points for EPG is industry sector knowledge, supported by a number of professional engineers integrated into the team.
EPG is a global team with teams in APAC, AMER and EMEA functioning as an integrated team to provide our clients with a global reach and expertise.
Provision of financial advisory services is a focus of the team, supported by financing using both the bank’s balance sheet, derivatives and the capital markets. The team also works closely with the M&A team, including on joint mandates to offer integrated debt and equity advice. It is intended to further widen our activity to include private debt and equity placement as well as cooperation with other BUs on energy transition projects where these are cross-cutting.
**Responsibilities**:
1) Transaction support to the relevant deal team leader in the Energy Finance team on advisory and arranging mandates, including:
- Financial modeling and analysis of financial projections
- Review of various documentation, including information memorandum and finance documents
- Review of various due diligence materials
- Assisting in preparation of presentations and pitch materials for clients, including contributions to client pitches themselves
2) Support for origination and marketing, including:
- Research on companies, market and industry trends,
- Preparation of marketing materials, and
- Assisting in preparation of proposals and pitchbooks
3) Support on transaction monitoring and compliance aspects, including audit exercises
**PROFILE**
**ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering, potentially with a specialization in Finance.
- Ideally you have past experience in project finance team, otherwise in financial analysis.
- Internship experience in the energy sector or dedicated finance team preferred
**OPERATIONAL SKILLS**
- Ability to perform financial projections and credit analysis
- Keeps abreast of evolving industry trends and market updates in Finance and Energy sectors in Asia Pacific region
- Analytical skills and ability to rationalise and communicate complex scenarios
- Ability to cope with workload pressures with short deadlines
- Strong focus on compliance and business ethics
