Roles & Responsibilities

Led by Stanford and MIT alumni with years of professional and management experience, Tourego is a disruptive new force in the niche market of tourism finance, solving outbound travellers’ pain points with our patented technology that has revolutionized the tourist refund industry with our mobile tourist refund. We seek to undermine the existing order among the incumbent market players with even more new ideas about how business should be done in this US$65b market.

We are expanding our team to hire a Business Development Consultant to join us in building this exciting enterprise from its inception and see it through to a resounding success.

The Business Development Consultant is responsible for the strategic oversight of the acquisition of retailer accounts via the design and implementation of sales and other plans to promote the use of our mobile solution in a swift and efficient manner.
- Plan, schedule, and implement the approach to acquiring retail accounts relevant to our business.
- Understand the specific needs of individual clients and design bespoke proposals and deliver high-impact presentations to convince their key decision makers to sign up with us.
- Establish strong rapport with clients and maintain rewarding customer relationships with key customer accounts.
- Engage accounts at all levels to activate the acccounts.
**Skills & Requirements**
- Degree holder with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Mastery of English, both written and spoken. Mandarin is a plus.
- Passion to learn more about the retail industry (particularly in the fashion and luxury segments).
- Good communication and negotiation skills to establish strong rapport with industry players, customers as well as internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable with mobile technology.
- Able to organize thoughts and ideas in a coherent manner and articulate them succinctly.
- Self-driven with outgoing personality. Poised and confident in presentation.
- Open to learn and grow fast. Genuine passion in innovation, interest in meeting people, and acumen for sniffing out business opportunities.
- Personable and persuasive.

This position draws a base pay in addition to attractive commission commensurate with performance.
