Senior Manager, Finance

Reporting to the CFO and leading a small team, you will be responsible for the delivery of quality yearly and monthly financial and management closing reports, ensuring that such reports are reviewed and submitted to management and key stakeholders on a timely basis. The reports are expected to provide insights and have a meaningful analysis of the financial results.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day finance operations of the Group and Company, including the maintenance of finance policies and procedures and ensuring that the Group and Company has a healthy working capital. You are expected to make recommendations to the CFO on how such policies and procedures could be made more efficient.
As the Group has investments and revenue contracts in multiple legal and tax jurisdiction, you will be providing recommendations on the contractual risks to minimise legal and tax liabilities of the Group and Company, providing key inputs from a financial perspective. You will also have to work with outsource providers to minimise the overall tax exposure for the Group and Company and ensure timely submissions of tax filings to the tax authorities in the respective jurisdictions.
You will also be playing a key role in annual budgeting for the Group and Company and how potential investments may affect the budget and projection of the Group and Company. As this is a dynamic business, you may also be involved in the acquisitions of entities and rolling out of new initiatives. As such, you must be comfortable working with Microsoft Excel. Previous experience with building financial models will be a plus.
**Responsibilities**:
- Financial closing and preparation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual consolidated financial and management reports;
- Liaising with overseas investments and partners for reporting, cash flows and investment requirements.
- Lead in the budgeting and forecasting exercise;
- Manage the Group’s liquidity and operational cash flow requirements in the short and medium term;
- Ensure an effective system of internal control and that physical assets are effectively safeguarded;
- To maintain and ensure compliance with finance procedures manuals;
- Work closely with both external and internal auditors and external financial advisors to ensure compliance with Group and statutory reporting;
- Review of tax (current and deferred) computations, and tax returns and ensuring that such tax returns are filed timely in their respective jurisdiction;
- Work closely with external tax agents on global taxation, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions;
- Support M&A activities, including the integration of acquired companies and divestment of entities and review of or preparation of financial models;
- Handle other projects and finance related duties as assigned;
**Requirements**:
- Qualified CPA / CA or equivalent.
- At least 12 years working experience with proven track record of leading a mid-size finance team for the last 5 years.
- Solid technical competency in Singapore accounting and tax compliance.
- Proven track record in treasury management and corporate finance.
- Experience in cross-border accounting, treasury and tax considerations a must.
- Previous audit experience in one of the Big Four accounting firms and with at least 2 years audit manager experience.
- Experience in the use of accounting and consolidation software;
- Analytical and strong business acumen with foresight and ability to articulate business strategies.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently, managing multiple stakeholders, initiatives and tasks effectively.
- Ability to exercise right judgement on the need for diplomacy and/or being assertive when ambiguity arises.
