Finance Data Domain Architect Associate Senior

Our International Consumer Bank team is at the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. We're looking for people who have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative squads, and are passionate about new technology. We work in tribes and squads that focus on specific products and projects - and depending on your strengths and interests, you'll have the opportunity to move between them.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with platform users and analysts to understand data requirements and functional needs
- Partner with data engineers to design and implement industry leading data architecture to support a highly scalable, reliable and performant platform
- Testing new data models and enhancements to ensure they meet end user requirements and expected results
- Maintain high quality technical and end user documentation to support the data models underpinning our platform solutions
- Implement, own and execute controls including data validation rules and reconciliations as part of our runbook
- Lead in the development of data pipelines, ad-hoc data analysis and BI solutions to support external financial reporting

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related domains
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analytics, change management or a data driven finance function
- Detail and control oriented with a good understanding of finance and accounting concepts, ideally a finance domain background
- Experience as a data architect, business analyst or as an end user driving data platform innovation
- Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional, agile teams as well as independently
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven SQL coding, ETL pipeline or data warehousing experience
- Ability to translate problem statements into practical solutions and technical requirements
- Self-starter and highly self-motivated

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Retail banking domain experience is advantageous
- Ability to deliver large scale or ‘big data’ platform solutions
- Working as part of multi-location team
