**Purpose**

The Pastor of Children’s Ministries is responsible for the pastoring of children and their families through the implementation of a ministry strategy that inspires wonder about God and builds a foundation of faith that will last a lifetime.

**General Description**

The Children’s Church (CC) Pastor works with and reports to the Senior Pastor, CC Director and CC pastoral team for the spiritual growth and development of children from Preschoolers to Primary 6. This includes curriculum selection, volunteer recruitment and development, classroom management, and operational management necessary to continuously mature our kids through the weekend children’s services and special events.

**Primary Tasks within Key Responsibility Areas**
- A humble spirit to keep the theological and methodical unity of ARPC’s reformed faith.
- Together with the Senior Pastor, CC Director and CC Pastoral Team collectively:

- lead a team of staff and volunteers for a children’s ministry.
- develop curriculum for a CC education programme
- implement children’s registration, classroom management, and security policies/practices in support of weekend services and periodic special events.
- Recruit, train and develop volunteers as needed to staff children’s ministry.
- Develop an outreach ministry to preschoolers, primary children and their families.
- Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and their families.

**Qualifications**
- Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced by spiritual maturity, humility and servant-heartedness.
- Commitment to the theological stance of ARPC as a Reformed Church which is Bible centred and Christ centred for God’s glory.
- University graduate, preferably supplemented with a seminary degree or equivalent experience in training.
- Love children and possess a passion for teaching children about God
- Demonstrated track record, peacable team spirit, fidelity in workplace and management.
