The story of Toby's Estate began in 1997, in the grungy streets of Woolloomooloo, Australia armed with Mum’s garage, a beat up coffee roaster and passion on tap, we set out on a wild adventure of business and coffee discovery. Not concerned with the frills of it all, but just that we were consistently consistent in roasting the tastiest coffee we could and treating all the people in our world like family.

Fast forward 24 years we’re a crack team and merry band of misfits united by a common passion for doing amazing things, and at the forefront of pushing the limits of premium specialty coffee.

**About the role**

We are on the hunt for a coffee guru to lead our flagship Singapore cafe. This role will need to ensure the seamless running of the café in the most efficient and effective manner delivering the highest standards of customer service, whilst being pro-active in reducing costs and increasing sales.

This role is a full-time permanent position where you will work alongside the Business Development Manager and café staff to deliver a venue coffee experience that will create a reason for customers to come and seek us out. This means, you need to have the ability to riff with the roaster on origins, processing, and what makes certain coffees amazing - you’ll be our front facing coffee sommelier

We trade 7 days so there will be the requirement for some weekend work. Sometimes you will start early or finish late, but every day you'll lead by example with your crew and inspire them to raise the bar through our offering and providing a standout customer experience, with a focus on exchanging knowledge over a shared love of coffee.

Some of the variety of the role includes:

- Being the welcoming front face of the cafe; you are super passionate about the customer experience.
- Managing and inspiring the floor team to deliver a specialty coffee experience that keeps our loyal customers returning.
- Making the best coffees in town.
- Motivating, recruiting and training a team to develop a service-focused culture.
- Operational management such as ordering, POS, administration and signage.
- Working with the coffee and roastery team to ensure café team have the right training and knowledge to deliver the perfect coffee and education experience to our customers.
- Management of café staff and ensuring to foster a fantastic team culture

**About you**
- Coffee runs in your veins You can jump on the machine and talk all day about coffee.
- Experience as a café or restaurant manager, supervisor, events, owner, Head Barista, or similar food and beverage operations role would be beneficial.
- Ability to train and coach a small team of baristas and floor staff.
- A demonstrated passion for specialty coffee and a keen interest to keep learning.
- You know how to use technology and don’t shy away from the admin side of things, you'll know how to invoice and order.
- You have great coffee knowledge - you should know your chemex from your espressos.

**Salary**: $4500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
