**The Role**: Managing Editor, Metallurgical Coal & Coke

**The Team**:
The Asia metallurgical coal & coke team comprises market reporters in Singapore and Gurgaon who produce some of the most keenly watched price assessments for the key steelmaking ingredient. The team prides itself on having developed market expertise in a technically complex commodity through its broad industry outreach and collaborations

**Responsibilities and Impact**:
Lead daily market reporting on Asia-Pacific metallurgical coal and coke, ensuring smooth running of operations
Develop team members and foster team culture of high performance
Produce and oversee price assessments in line with Platts rigorous and published methodology
Lead frequent engagements with key industry stakeholders, explaining methodology and identifying market trends that could lead to methodology changes
Lead the generation of thought-leadership content, including analysis, features and digital content including podcasts and videos

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Basic Required Qualifications**:
Experience in market/news reporting, writing and analysis
Excellent English language communication skills, verbal and written
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Good organizational planning skills; able to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
Self-driven, energetic and proactive

**Additional Preferred Qualifications**:
Knowledge of markets, not necessarily limited to commodities
Ability to manage people and processes
Comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a team-oriented, multicultural environment
