**Python & SAS Developer**

**Job Purpose**:
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:
Key Accountabilities
- Take lead in re-platforming the existing SAS-based Retail & Non-Retail IFRS9 and Stress Testing models to open source platforms such as Python.
- Support in systemisation initiatives currently underway, which are focussed on the re-platforming of the RWA & ECL Stress Testing processes.
- Collaborate with technology on systemisation initiatives, defining user-requirements and conducting UAT, as well as feeding into the design process
- Support the team in aligning to the enterprise system architecture, work on system migration process and database management
- Support strategic objectives of Group in embedding portfolio analytics into risk management standards and practices
- Ensure execution excellence by having an eye on details and by closely monitoring the project progress
- Propose improvements to IFRS 9 and stress test methodologies and processes

**Functional / Technical Competencies**:

- Excellent Python and SAS programming skills
- Technical aptitude, including understanding of data science concepts and tools (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Python)
- Knowledge on Spark, Python modelling packages, JIRA, Bitbucket
- Experience of User Acceptance Testing and requirements gathering
- Understanding of Basel IRB models, ST and/ or IFRS9 models preferred
- Prior experience in a stress testing or IFRS9 role
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Effective communicator
- Strong team player

**Education and Relevant Experience**:

- University graduate or post-graduate with major in engineering, computer science or other quantitative discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in areas described above
