Our chefs are responsible for a wide range of duties on a daily basis. In addition to general kitchen operations, they must have extensive knowledge of ingredients and cooking techniques. This position will require individuals who can effectively communicate with co-workers and customers.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain work stations are clean and tidy with proper hygiene
- Handle equipment in a safe and proper manner
- Execute and maintain consistent recipes, cooking techniques, and presentation
- Assist purchasing and receiving of goods
- Ensure the quality of ingredients
- Assist monthly inventory counts and record food wastage
- Inspect and maintain kitchen and kitchen equipment cleanliness
- Update Head Chef of any equipment malfunction or shortage of supplies
- Perform supervisory role by mentoring junior cooks
- Ensure proper hygiene practices in accordance with food & beverage safety and hygiene standards
- Any other duties assigned by the manager
**Requirements**:
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in the F&B industry
- Experience with relevant cuisine will be an advantage
- Enjoy cooking and willingness to learn
- Proactive, friendly, and a team player
- Ability to multi-task and comfortable working in fast-paced environment
- Willing to work on weekends and public holidays
- 5 days work week
