**Purpose of the Role**:
You will develop narrations and content for the SCS story bank, collaterals and communications channels. You will ensure that the tone and voice of our content and communications are consistent with the Society’s positioning across the different channels and touchpoints you are responsible for.

Working closely with the team you will assist in driving our advocacy and thought leadership efforts in the healthcare and charity sectors. You will be involved in building a community of micro-influencers to represent the voice of the cancer community.

**Key Liaison**

You will work with internal and external stakeholders such as:

- Press, media and influencers
- Government agencies
- Corporate partners
- Heads of Dept and their respective team members, senior management
- SCS clients (patients, survivors, beneficiaries)
- Volunteers and members of the public

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Draft, research and edit content materials to populate SCS story bank, collaterals development and external-facing communication channels including website, social media and SCS publications.
- Work closely with the broader Corporate Affairs team to devise and execute communication plans to support SCS campaigns, events and services.
- Maintain positive relationships with the media by handling and responding to media queries in a timely manner.
- Develop content pieces on advocacy and thought leadership for media placements.
- Edit content and copy to ensure voice, grammar and style are on point.
- Cultivate support group members and volunteers to be cancer ambassadors, empowering them to use social media to amplify the voice of the cancer community.
