At Hudson River Trading (HRT), we program computers to intelligently trade on the stock market, and make the world's markets more financially efficient using smart algorithms. Algo Software Engineers (AEs) are programmers who develop the software that powers our trading and research.

We're looking for an Algo Software Engineer to join one of our growing trading teams in Singapore. Distributed across NYC, London, and Singapore, our team develops multi-frequency and multi-asset class arbitrage, liquidity provision, event
- and news-driven trades. As an AE, you would sit within our Research & Development arm working on software engineering to power our trading strategies.

Projects might include improving simulation throughput and fidelity, building parallel compute primitives to enable large-scale model fitting, and latency optimization for a trading strategy.
- Strong technical fundamentals; this role involves software engineering in Python and C++
- A Google core library (e.g. Spanner)
- A programming language standard library
- A well-known open source project
- Trading strategy infrastructure at a trading firm
- Experience with a low-level programming language (particularly C++) is a strong plus
