Kitchen Helper cum Cleaner (Child Care Center)

This position requires a dedicated individual to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen and surrounding areas within a child care center. The role combines kitchen assistance duties with general cleaning responsibilities to ensure a healthy environment for children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Kitchen Assistance:

- Assists in food preparation tasks as directed by the cook such as washing vegetables, preparing ingredients, and cleaning utensils.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including counters, sinks, and storage areas.
- Follows established food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handwashing and food handling techniques.
- Cleaning:

- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and microwaves.
- Cleans and mops kitchen floors regularly.
- Empties trash bins and maintains cleanliness of storage areas.
- Cleans and disinfects restrooms and common areas as assigned.
- May assist with general cleaning tasks throughout the center as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Basic food hygiene knowledge and experience.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to lift moderate weights (e.g., carrying food supplies).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience in a childcare setting is a plus, but not required.
