**Duties**:
Typical duties include but not limited to:

- Develops and documents procedures; trains others on these procedures.
- Prepares formal written eDiscovery reports clearly stating the results of analysis ensuring accuracy and adequacy.
- Performs ESI identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, and production with Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) framework and standards to respond to requests for investigations, litigation, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and other eDiscovery matters.
- Develop and manage relationships with internal/external stakeholders. The incumbent establishes and maintains robust communications with stakeholders to communicate eDiscovery requirements.
- Demonstrates some independence planning, organizing, and devising approaches necessary to obtain useful electronically stored information (ESI) from various data sources.
- Uses eDiscovery knowledge, skills, and abilities of a wide variety of advance computer technologies, theories, and information governance standards.
- Maintain an understanding of computer network architecture to identify data sources and collection techniques.
- Work is reviewed periodically during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness and technical compliance with the requirements of the project or other work activity. Frequently refers difficult problems and work issues to a manager or more experienced technical specialist when guidelines are not available or applicable.

**Responsibilities at the I-band will also include**:
Resolves all but unique technical problems without the intervention of management or a more experienced technical specialist. Identifies and informs management of problems that require attention. Supports the implementation of eDiscovery assignments and execution of all AXI policies.

Work is reviewed typically at major milestones and at completion, for technical compliance and alignment with the requirements of the project or other work activity. Performs other duties as assigned.

**Specialized experience includes**: Experience using technological resources in each of the EDRM phases: Identification, Preservation, Collection, Processing, Review, Analysis, Production, and Presentation.

**OR**

3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree directly related.
