Jr Buyer

The Jr Buyer is responsible for procuring a broad range of parts and consumables for the operation and maintenance of Heerema’s assets (vessels and equipment) in a timely cost efficient manner, in accordance with requirements and at acceptable terms and conditions.

**Your tasks are to**:

- Issue RFQ’s, evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate prices and conditions
- Issue Purchase Orders
- Liaise with vendors, sub-contractors, suppliers and internal departments
- Research potentials vendors and develop & maintain supplier relationships
- Perform procurement administration duties and ad-hoc tasks

**You should be**:

- At least Diploma in Business / Supply Chain Management / Logistics or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in offshore
- In-depth knowledge of the procurement process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and hands-on experience with ERP systems and SAP (will be advantageous)
- A highly driven, commercial and inquisitive personality
- Results and service oriented individual who possess excellent negotiation skills and communication skills
- Proactive team player with the ability to work independently in challenging projects and timelines
