Reports to: Head of HSSEQ

**Responsibilities**:

- Plans, prepares, and monitors the performance of the assigned fleet through all internal and external inspections.
- Coordinates with inspecting authorities and bodies to ensure effective and timely closure of all issued findings and notations from inspections and audits.
- Ensures investigation and analysis are conducted for all incidents across the fleet, as instructed by the manager, in close cooperation with the Marine and Technical teams, while adhering to the industry's special requirements and renders marine support to vessels, as required.
- Assists to resolve issues related to findings from inspections and audits that affect fleet operations, and informs owners, charterers and authorities of the measures being taken to address them.
- Works closely with the Technical, Marine, and Crew teams to prepare vessels for vetting inspections.
- Maintains Right Ship records and interrelates closely with Right Ship for all matters relevant to scores, inspections and fleet performance.
- Maintains databases of all findings from audits and inspections.
- Leads and coordinates all incident investigations and analysis of incident findings, following up on them.
- Prepares fleet experience transfers based on findings and actions identified.
- Participates in management reviews and ensures actions are implemented for quality assurance.
- Acts as the back-up of the HSSEQ manager, as needed.
- Attends to additional duties as decided in discussion with management team.

Qualifications / Experience:

- Degree in Naval Architecture / Mechanical Engineering or Captain Class A diploma / Chief Engineer’s license.
- Minimum 2 years of experience at a similar position of a shipping company.
- Familiarity with pre-vetting / vetting inspections' requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Computer literate.
