The position is responsible for assisting the Credit Control Manager in managing the country’s receivables to ensure that all receivable benchmarks and KPI’s are achieved and improved. He/She will also be responsible for the collection, credit control, reconciliation of statement of accounts, and analysis of the receivables in accordance with the Company Policy and to ensure the work is completed in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Credit Control Manager to analyse data to establish problem accounts, producers, line of business, distribution channels and booking/collection procedures.
- Adhere to internal standards and procedure to ensure that premiums are paid within the agreed terms of trade
- Performing reconciliation of between Chubb’s statement of accounts vs brokers/debtors statement of accounts
- Able to work independently and actively following up with brokers/other debtors, have excellent people-skills to manage and ensure that receivables are collected successfully
- Takes initiative to follow-up with receivables issues, and embark on mini-projects to ensure resolution of issues, with target in mind to meet the country’s receivables benchmarks
- Assist the Credit Control Manager to prepare for quarterly Credit Collection Meetings
- Any other ad-hoc projects tasked by the Finance Manager
- Be pro-active to identify opportunities to improve the receivables process

**Requirements**:

- Education: Min Dip in Accountancy or Business or currently pursuing ACCA or any Finance related education
- Years of experience: Experience in insurance industry or at least 2 years experience in credit control, preferably in the Insurance Industry
- Knowledge, skills and abilities: Confident with double entries, meticulous, proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot table and vlookup) and Word, proficient in spoken and written English and strong interpersonal skill.
