The APAC Head of Architecture and Engineering (CTO) will be a key member of the APAC Technology Senior Leadership Team and will take overall accountability for all the technical aspects of technology execution (change and run) for the region.

The APAC Head of Architecture and Engineering will lead a team of Solution Architects and Engineering Managers and in the APAC Regional Office, the APAC countries, and the APAC off-shore Development Centres.

The APAC Head of Architecture and Engineering (CTO) will work closely with the APAC Head of Technology (CIO) and respective Business, Country, and Technology functional heads to define a technology strategy for the APAC business, design the related technology roadmaps and solutions, and manage engineering for Data, Cloud, and Integrations for the region. APAC Head of Architecture and Engineering (CTO) will also be responsible for observing and evolving the Architecture and Engineering governance policies, standards, and processes.

**Responsibilities**:
Business engagement
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to build alignment and define technology strategy, technology roadmap, technology solutions, and execution plans. Communicate on a periodic basis, negotiate success, report progress, manage and resolve risks and issues.
Program Management - Manage multiple, concurrent global, regional, local technology programs and projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, meeting business expectations and quality standards. Ensure issues and risks are raised and managed in a timely manner. Ensure Chubb project management standards are observed.
Software Engineering - Manage development of multiple solutions and systems, adhering to Chubb’s architectural standards and system development frameworks (agile and waterfall).
Service and Risk management - Manage and report on service levels for multiple global, regional and local systems. Manage related ITIL processes (e.g. incident, problem, change management), Information Security processes (e.g. vulnerability management), and Risk Management processes (e.g. currency).
Team Leadership - As a key member of the APAC Technology Leadership team, lead and motivate diverse, distributed Chubb and partner teams. Own the talent agenda (acquisition, retention) for the Operation and Claims technology function.

**Qualifications**:
15-20 years of experience in building and leading Software Engineering teams and functions
Hands-on, proven experience in designing technology solutions, making technology decisions, and managing complex technology roadmaps aligned to business outcomes
Hands-on, proven experience in software engineering, designing, building, testing, deploying Internet and Enterprise-scale systems
Hands-on, proven experience with Agile operating models and methodologies
Hands-on, proven experience in designing, building, and running systems in public Cloud
Hands-on, proven experience in designing, building, and running Data, and Integration platforms
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong people leadership skills
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
