**Senior/Staff Quality Engineer**

**SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION**:
Participate in design reviews, design verification and validation, monitor results and drive risk ensuring product meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required. Assures quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards, testing, materials controls thru trends analysis, uses of tools and data. Prepare and present regularly on the project quality status. Drive continuous improvement and standardization of best practices in the organization to achieve best-in-class quality. Support the organization Quality Management System

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
Functional:

- Support in new product design development process which includes validation/verification of product
- Provide technical support in engineering design review, drawing and specification review to drive risk mitigation ensuring product meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required
- Defect or failure trend analysis and suggest improvements.
- Perform electrical and mechanical failure analysis.
- Effectively contribute to the successful completion of projects.
- Recognize/anticipate barriers to completing assigned work/projects.
- Focuses and determines proper engineering principles on reliability issues.
- Drives Root Cause analysis to successful completion.
- Uses reliability engineering principles and tools.
- Drive and own preventive quality assurance during development and industrialization setup.
- Drive quality assurance/control tools within the scope of the Design Quality Assurance in the project with the team
- Ensures quality and manufacturing process readiness before start of mass production to attain a flawless launch.
- Implement lessons learned in other/new products, respectively new or running projects.
- Identify and manage Critical To Quality (CTQ’s) parameters
- When standard procedures do not apply, use judgment and draw on past experience to interpret information, solve routine problems and/or recommend approaches.
- Contribute ideas for innovation and continuous improvement on an ongoing basis.
- Demonstrate understanding of the role of technology in business and as it applies to one's own functional area.

**EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- B.S. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience with experience in a Quality or Design function in a Product Development environment
