JR15816 Lead Big Data Platforms, Automation
**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Coach Engineers in the skills needed to automate provisioning and monitoring for on premise and cloud based big data platforms.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and business objectives
- Deliver projects on-time, to specification, and within budget
- Implement CI/CD to deliver solutions
- Deliver automated solutions which replace operational load, decrease time to deliver to customers, and increase accuracy
- Create processes in accordance with GDW Security guidelines

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience working with or operating Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark and Cloud platforms such as GCP, Snowflake
- Experience working with tools such as Git, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins
- Programming experience such as Python, Java, TypeScript, Shell Script
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with management and developers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead functional groups, with diverse interests and requirements, to a common objective
- Demonstrable ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Good communication skills, with a track record of significant direct interaction with peers, leadership, and partners across the company
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written communication skills

**Education**:Technical Degree required. Computer Science background helpful
