**Overall Job Purpose
The Support Assistant, Banqueting is responsible for providing key support in setting up function spaces within the club. He/She will be required to move and arrange tables and chairs, sets tables with appropriate cutleries and ensures items are filled up and ready for event. On event, he/she act as a food runner to deliver plated food and serves guests. He/She also possesses good communication skills and teamwork spirit to ensure service standards are met. He/She should have the stamina to stay on his feet for long periods and carry heavy loads and is also able to work in a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and perform all function rooms and off-site events set ups in accordance with directions of the manager and the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
- Ensures side stations (i.e. spare cutlery/garnishes/soft drinks/alcoholic beverages/used cutlery collection points, etc) assigned are stocked up/, prepared/cleared and ready prior to start of event and ensures cleanliness and stock levels and equipment are maintained and topped-up throughout the event.
- Clean operational equipment/cutleries in preparation for subsequent event
- Report any defects/malfunctions in accordance to the club’s operating procedures
- Perform runner duties including managing between each function rooms, delivering or collecting items as required
- Coordinate and support contractors on site and do walkthrough of area before/after setups
- Provide go-the-extra-mile service to create a positive customer experience
- Escalate customers' feedback (if any)
- Follow the organisation's personal, food and beverage hygiene standards, food waste management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Execute daily operational tasks according to staff roster

**Job Requirements**
- Punctual and discipline to ensure good work performance
- Ability to carry heavy loaded items (i.e. lazy susan, table tops, linens, chairs, carton drinks, etc.)
