**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic and friendly **Barista**to join our team. As the Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving both coffee-based beverages and food, ensuring a high level of customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. If you have a passion for coffee and enjoy making people’s day with quality drinks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you You will be working alone so will be responsible for opening and closing of the café. Preparing drinks as well as reheating a small food menu worth of items in the convection oven.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Coffee Preparation**

Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages (lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) and teas using our Victoria Arduino Eagle One espresso machine.
- **Customer Service**:
Greet customers warmly, take orders via the pos system, and deliver warm friendly service to ensure a memorable experience.
- **Inventory Management**:
Monitor stock levels for coffee, food and bar supplies, and communicate any shortages to management.
- **Cleanliness and Organization**:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee machine, coffee grinder and customer-facing areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- **Up-Selling and Promotion**:
Promote special drinks, seasonal items, and store offers to customers.
- **Multi-Tasking**:
Balance multiple drink orders efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- **Pos machine**:
High level proficiency in using POS system. Running end of day sales to make sure they tally with the sales report.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:
Previous experience as a barista, cashier or in a similar food and beverage role preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in operating espresso machines.
- Understanding and ability of coffee extraction.
- Latte art skills (ability to pour basic patterns such as hearts and tulips)
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work alone and problem solve.
- **Certifications**:
WSQ food safety course (FSC) level 1 preferred but not essential.
