IT Support Specialist

**Primary Function**
We are looking for an experienced IT professional to provide hardware and software technology assistance, focusing on our growing team in Asia, Australia, and South Asia. This position will work with our remote staff and contractors to ensure their hardware and software is optimized and updated, and assist with any associated technology needs. The individual must possess a commitment to IEEFA's mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Manage hardware (computers, mobile devices, peripherals), including:
- Advising staff on hardware purchases
- Inventorying hardware and tracking replacements and warranties
- Assisting staff with hardware set-up and troubleshooting
- Managing licenses for desktop software
- Installing software updates and operating system patches as needed
- Provide hardware and software technology support to IEEFA’s global team
- Provide occasional emergency after hours support
- Onboard new employees, provide training on our software and systems
- Serve as one of the system administrators for IEEFA’s core software and assist with updates and software management as needed.
- Prepare documentation and training materials for IT processes
- Regularly assess user needs and make recommendations for improvements to IT support and services
- Other duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications**
- Associate’s degree or Diploma in information technology and minimum of 4 years previous experience in a user-focused role providing IT support or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience providing technology training
- Demonstrated technical troubleshooting skills with PC and Mac computers, standard desktop software (Microsoft Office, Adobe, file sharing apps) and mobile devices
- Minimum of 1 year experience with remote monitoring & management software (RMM)
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices including password management, anti-virus software and multi-factor authentication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; able to interact professionally with a diverse population of technology users including those with different technology skills and comfort levels
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a very fast-paced, performance-oriented environment
- Highly organized; able to check work-products for accuracy, set priorities and meet objectives and deadlines with limited direction while working remotely

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology and minimum of 2 years previous experience in a user-focused role providing IT support or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hardware and software inventory experience
- Budgeting experience
- Experience as a Google Workspace administrator
- Experience administering shared file storage software such as Box, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
- Experience administering enterprise level MFA software such as Okta or Duo
- Experience using or administering Salesforce, Box, and/or LastPass
- Experience working remotely and providing support to remote-based colleagues
- Previous experience working for an NGO/nonprofit organization
**Salary**
Salary commensurate with experience and location.

**Travel**
Some travel is required. All global team members attend IEEFA’s annual conference and international team retreat.
**Physical Demands and Work Environment**: The IT Support Specialist will work remotely. Must be able to work for prolonged periods at a computer. Computer work can involve repetitive motion, eyestrain, back and neck strain.
