Singapore CARDINAL MARITIME (SG) PTE. LTD. Full time

The Finance Manager - SEA is responsible for managing Singapore’s day-to-day finance operations while overseeing the financial functions of the SEA region (Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and India). This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls while supporting business growth. The Finance Manager will lead the SEA finance team, reporting to the Regional Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Singapore Finance Operations (Hands-On Management):

- Handle daily finance operations in Singapore, including AP, AR, GL, cash flow management, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, financial reporting, and audit preparation for Singapore entity.
- Handle Singapore GST, corporate tax filings, and statutory compliance (ACRA, IRAS).
- Manage local treasury functions, including payments, receipts, and intercompany transactions.
- Support Singapore payroll processing (if applicable) and liaise with HR on related matters.

2. SEA Financial Oversight & Reporting:

- Supervise finance teams in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and India, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Consolidate and analyze monthly/quarterly financial reports for SEA, providing insights to the Regional Finance Manager.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and work with country managers on cost control measures.

3. Compliance & Controls:

- Ensure strong internal controls across SEA entities to mitigate financial risks.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams for statutory audits and tax filings.
- Implement corporate finance policies and process improvements.

4. Business Partnering & Strategy:

- Work closely with Singapore and SEA operations teams on financial planning, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.

5. Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the SEA finance team, ensuring efficiency and development.
- Guide SEA finance teams to align with corporate policies and regional objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; with CPA/CA/ACCA qualification and audit experience are preferred.
- 8+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role (logistics/freight forwarding experience is a plus).
- Strong hands-on experience in Singapore finance operations (GST, tax, compliance, month-end closing).
- Knowledge of SEA accounting standards (MFRS, IFRS, India GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel.
- Leadership, problem-solving, good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and Chinese; additional SEA languages (Bahasa, Thai) are a plus.
