What you will be working on:
- Conduct computer-based, desk-based and field audit for higher risk cases selected from various sources (e.g. analytics models) and assurance reviews on the transmission of trade income information by third parties with the objective of improving taxpayer compliance
- Review high risk cases identified from various sources (e.g. analytics models, financial records) which may involve review of assessments, field work, introduction of pre-emptive actions (e.g. through seamless filing, data collection from source, BI nudges) to reduce the no. of such cases and develop a holistic view of risk into actionable insights
- Review tax reporting process and tax controls to address compliance upstream and identify ways to integrate tax seamlessly into taxpayers’ life events or natural systems
What we are looking for:
- Background in Accountancy or Business preferred
- Good knowledge of principles of accounting and taxation and 3 to 5 years of practical experience in auditing
- Experience in the area of evaluating adequacy internal controls is plus
- Meticulous and analytical
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Resourceful and able to work independently in a team environment
