**About the job**:

- We seek a highly motivated and inquisitive intern to join our Data Engineering team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with the entire data engineering lifecycle, from data acquisition and cleaning to building and maintaining data pipelines. You will work alongside experienced engineers and learn from industry professionals, contributing to real-world projects that impact our business.
- Responsibilities:

- Assist in designing, developing, and testing data pipelines using various technologies like Scala, Python, Spark, and SQL.
- Perform data acquisition and cleaning tasks, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Built and maintained data warehouses and data lakes using technologies like Quantexa, Databricks and Delta Lake.
- Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline data processing tasks.
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand their data needs and build solutions that meet them.
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for writing clean, maintainable code.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in the data engineering field.

**About you**:

- Currently enrolled in a university program related to computer science, data science, or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with SQL and Python is preferred.
- Experience with data pipelines, data warehouses, or cloud computing platforms is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for learning and a willingness to take initiative.
