**_Responsibilities:

- **
- Proactively maintain and develop all Unix infrastructure technology
- Systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
- Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware
- Create or modify scripts to perform tasks
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
- Support Incidents and changes
- Review & technical advice on critical production changes on weekends
- Trouble shooting for OS administration
- Identifying RCA & fix for the critical incidents
- Working on problem management support
- Trouble shooting on Veritas and VCS administration
- Performance turning and support of Samba servers
- Troubleshooting on DHSO (RAC cluster) servers
- Trouble shooting on backup and storage issues
- Network administration on performance and troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting on NFS mounts and Samba shares
- NIS & Kerberos Administration
- FS administration in SVM, ZFS & VxVM, etc.
- SRDF & STAR storage replication issues support
- Cyberark and SCCM compliant support for CI’s.
- Package and Patch administration
- Firmware & Hardware support
- DR Failover and failback support.
- Housekeeping for OS filesystems, etc.

**_Education and Experience Required:

- **
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Patching of Solaris/Unix servers (mandatory)
- LDAP directory services/NIS authentication & authorization services (mandatory)
- Virtualization technologies including VMware, Solaris Zones, containers, Linux KVM, etc (mandatory)
- DR knowledge (Desirable)
- Microsoft Docker/Ansible (Desirable)
- Scripting and programming experience in Shell, Perl, Java (Desirable)
- Storage activities including storage uplifts, migrations etc (desirable)
- Red Hat and relevant certification (desirable)
- Cluster experience - VCS cluster & Veritas volume manager
- Oracle RAC cluster & ASM disks

- Knowledge in cloud infrastructure.
