Role Description: This position reports to the director. ECO GREEN TRANSPORT. is committed to an employee-orientated, high performance culture that emphasises empowerment, quality, continuous improvement, and the recruitment and on-going development of a superior workplace.

Specific responsibility:
Individual to be involved in:
1) Oversee and direct drivers to completion jobs

2) Ensure quality standards services

3) Direct the activities of staff in relation to transport operations within the company on duties like dispatching and tracking/monitoring of transportation vehicles

4) Prepare Vehicle check in good order

5) Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones

6) Negotiate terms of agreements with business owners.

7) Monitor the general operations of staff of the transportation department to make sure that their operations are within the guidelines, safety measures, government orders, and administrative policies

8) Analyse, manage and mitigate risks

9) Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licence

10) Oversee all operation to monitor compliance with road safety regulations

11) Involve in the negotiation and authorization of contracts and other forms of purchases and procurements that are related to the company’s transportation needs

12) Coordinate and direct drivers

13) Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory

14) Develop important indicators that measure and show the effectiveness of the company’s transportation operations

15) Review the work progress on daily basis

Competencies:
1) Must possess good communication skills, with emphasis on the ability to effectively produce and distribute information across different units within and outside the firm

2) Good negotiation skills and excellent decision-making ability

3) Good customer service skills so as to be able to maintain/retain existing customers

4) Good interpersonal skills are also important

5) Knowledge of the procedures and modes of transportation for moving goods

6) Basic computer knowledge

7) Knowledge of basic customer service procedures

8) Good leadership qualities are of utmost importance

9) Ability to work effectively as part of a team and also to lead a team when the opportunity arises

10) Excellent analytical skills

11) Good time management abilities

Duration of Traineeship/Attachment: 6 months
