Senior Vice President, Head of Network Services

**Your background**

You past experience has given you a deep understanding of network technologies and an appreciation of how they come together to serve our lines of business. As your career has progressed, you will have led larger teams with end-to-end accountability for an infrastructure stack which will have included setting strategy, controlling budgets, reviewing regulatory/audit responses and developing the workforce in addition to providing oversight to project deployments and operational stability.

You have a creative mindset and are not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities, being able to identify and prioritize business and operational needs. You are great at communicating and influencing - selling a vision, gaining support and where needed rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in.

You will have led teams previously and are recognized as a seasoned leader providing direction, support and air-cover to your team as required. You seek out diverse talent, appreciate differences of opinion and prioritize developing your team’s strengths and weaknesses.

You have a drive for getting things done with a keen sense of urgency and are known for leaving nothing to chance - spotting unknown dependencies and proactively circumventing issues before they arise.

You are known as a trusted partner - both within your team, to Executive Leadership and out to our line-of-business partners and customers of our services.

You can explain complex technology issues and projects to a non-technical audience and get their buy-in.

And finally, you enjoy the challenging rigors of working in a fast-paced, high stakes, highly regulated environment - not afraid to step out of your comfort zone, helping out and providing guidance to your peers across the Chief Technology Organization.

**Your experience**
- 15 years’ work experience required (less if you are a superstar) with at least 5 years managing a large technical team, preferably related to network services.
- Have led and directed an infrastructure function and associated processes in a large, complex, multi-vendor enterprise environment.
- Proven ability to turn complex ideas into well-structured processes and presentations.
- Strong business partnership skills - Able to build broad-based business relationships across the organization and positively influence colleagues.
- Broad experience with infrastructure management processes - service management, budgeting, expense management, risk and controls, change management, incident management
- Have built high performing and diverse teams and managed service providers ensuring service deliverables are exceeded.
- Willing to work some irregular hours to collaborate with peers in the UK and US
- Comfortable working independently in a collaborative organizational structure with the freedom to speak your mind
- Unhappy with laborious manual processes and procedures, always looking for opportunities to drive efficiencies
**What you can expect**

You will lead a growing organization of circa 80 staff made up of Engineers, Project Managers and Business Analysts overseeing a significant 8-figure budget.

The Network Services regional organization is made up of Operations, Engineering & Implementation, Project Management and Business Delivery functions.

During APAC working hours, you will be accountable for the stability of the global network comprised of over 80k devices whilst overseeing a spectrum of project deployments across the region.

A typical day may see you guide your leadership team through the day’s challenges, advising on staffing, contract renewals, vendor strategy and risk/audit items. In turn, they will be providing you with live updates on the book of work, operational concerns, risk items or anything needing your direction.

You will break through barriers the team come up against to ensure deliverables are met by maintaining close relationships with our partners from across The Bank such as our CIO teams, Sourcing, Information Security, HR, Finance and other technology partners.

You will have a focus on team development and providing guidance on how to more efficiently meet delivery targets as well as providing executive level updates to our CTO/CIOs.

You will be an active member of the Global Network Services SLT as well as Regional Technology Infrastructure Services SLT contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the regional and global organizations.

- Own and be accountable for the overall running and delivery of all APAC Network Services functions serving as the executive escalation point of contact.
