**What are my job responsibilities?**
- Manage the overall competency growth of Signalling and Telecommunications engineers across Siemens Mobility offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines within the stated plan and timeline.
- Establish and maintain expertise in all Signalling and Telecommunications areas ensuring proper development process is in place.
- Coordinate manpower and expertise needs across departments in alignment with the overall status and strategy of the region.
- While maintaining the existing resources and knowledge pool of engineers, establishing an ownership culture to have a sustainable department.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to create Key Performance Targets of the Engineering Department.
- Take the lead for necessary Engineering Statements required by projects.
- Manage and Develop Engineering resources and staffing to support on-going projects and new opportunities, aiming for a self-functioning Engineering Center.
- Act as the main technical lead for Signaling and Telecommunications activities, ensuring successful implementation and operation for on-going projects in Singapore.
- Actively advocate Siemens technology and solutions in the market to improve chances of winning tendered work.
- Collaborates with the other Engineering centers on the ASP region (Australia, Bangkok and India), looking for synergies and opportunities within the region.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying challenges, analysing root causes, and distributing lessons learnt to the members of the team.

**What do I need to qualify for this role?**
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics or equivalent fields
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in signaling rail domain, with deep expertise in signaling technical design and solutions
- Proven track record in managing and developing engineering teams, with experience leading teams disciplinary and functionally
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage staff and contractor requirements professionally.
- Experience working with customers and colleagues from diverse cultural environments
- Strong business analysis skills and experience, including development of business vision and strategies, functional decomposition, requirements capture, process modeling
- Experience of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development
- Ability to clarify complicated technical concerns to non-technical individuals
- Expertise in software, hardware, systems engineering and IT security aspects
