Singapore APOLLO AQUARIUM PTE LTD Full time

**Job Description**:

- Perform daily measuring of water parameters (temperature, ORP, pH, DO, Salinity, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Alkalinity)
- Carry out weekly water bacteriology tests (using agar plating for bacteria such as _Vibrio _spp.) and monitoring the number of bacteria present in the water
- Share water parameters readings and bacteriology results with the team and hold discussions with the team on follow-up actions to improve water quality
- Work closely with the farming team to gather data and observations for recording, analysis and reporting
- Maintain daily the general cleanliness and operability of the laboratory
- Implement the day-to-day operations of Fish Health Management programme
- Perform monthly calibrations of handheld probes on all the sensors (salinity, pH, DO/ ORP)
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

- 5.5-day work week
- Relevant diploma related to environmental sciences or aquaculture
- Passionate about aquatic animal well-being
- Knowledge and/or experience in water quality measurements and water chemistry an advantage
- Is pleasant and able to fit harmoniously in a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
